"Chuck"

Ch. Willowood Tucker Von Hausman, CGC

We went to see a chessie litter that we were interested in. Well, my husband Chuck fell in love with a brown male in the litter. This litter was being evaluated by the owner of the stud dog, who was the #1 stud dog. Well, the brown male chessie for sure didn't want to stand to be examined, didn't want anything to do with anything, and he had such a personality that my husband, fell in love with him. So, seeing that the chessie pup was so hard to handle and wanted to do things his way and had such a creative personality, I decided his name would be "Chuck" the chessie, in honor of my husband. That stuck as his name and he was a keeper. We never regretted anything about him. He was very easy to train, we had ton's on eye contact and he was always happy. Chuck finished very fast and is a joy to have.

"Ade"

Ch. Von Hausman's Adelaide
DOB 7/10/01       OFA Hips: Excellent     OFA Elbows: Normal     Optigen A

Ade was one of our first Bred By Champions. Ade is out of one of our foundation bitches Bodi.  Ade finished her Championship before she turned 1yr. She wasn't a big girl, but she was a very correct type, nice coat and has a lovely front and rear angles. Her movement was flawless and she loved too show. She was very flashy in the ring. Ade has produced many Champion Chesapeakes for our kennel. She is now retired and loves her life as the Queen.

"Quarrie"

Ch. Idly's MacQuarie Von Hausman
DOB 05-28-1999       OFA Hips: Excellent       OFA Elbows: Normal       CERF: Clear       Optigen B

We got Quarie from Kathy Perry of Idlywoods Chesapeakes in Michigan. I saw him and was so impressed with his massive head and Sedge color, I knew he was going to be a nice show dog. Of course I was right, Quarie did "All That". Quarrie has won Sweeps at the National Specialty and has taken BOB many times. He is the kennel funny chessie. He is a riot! He has fun no matter were he is and he has a wonderful temperament. We are so happy we found him, he is a once in a life time dog!!! He has produced wonderful sedge color and great coats and that fun attitude he has.

"Bear"

Ch. Von Hausman's Ursa Major
CHIC# 4351       OFA Hips: Excellent       OFA Elbows: Normal       CERF: Clear       DOB: 01/29/1997       SN413614/02
Ch. Balcroft's Key To The Future X Ambersand Ariane

Bear has won some BOB's in his career and has flawless movement. After seeing Bear in the ring, I was contacted by a fellow breeder from Minnesota., who wanted to buy him. I didn't want to sell him, so we did a co-ownership and Bear went to live with his new owner, Rachel Stanton. Rachel did a wonderful job of finishing him and Bear has since sired wonderful puppies. Bear is now retired with a family in the same area as Rachel and is a loving wonderful companion dog. Bear was a joy to us and made us proud of him!

"Rose"

"Bogi"

Von Hausman's Casablanca, SH
(Ch. Dan-Dee Porthos Von Hausman X Berenike Of Hemlock, CD)
DOB: November 9, 1999

Bogi was my first AKC Hunting Titled boy. I first started showing him, but then when working with the pro's at Buckeye Retriever Club, we realized that this boy might have potential for something "Bigger". With the winter coming on and me realizing that time was running out here for training, I sent Bogi to the Pro Handler, Bob Reckardt of Amberwood Kennels. Bob, had a training place in NC for the winter. It was fall of the next year and Bogi got his JH and Bob felt that maybe this boy had more "Potential" then he thought. So, I let Bob try the next title on him. It wasn't long before Bogi got his SH, Bob trains the dogs almost thru SH when he goes for the JH title. So, it didn't take long for Bogi to get his SH. We owe a great "Thanks" to Bob and his team and Bogi for all the work they did!!!

When Bogi finished, I took him to the LRC, Inc. 2001 National. I had him entered in Hunting Dog class, there were allot of dogs entered and some I knew and they were conformation Champions with hunting titles. Well, I worked Bogi hard, Bob had done a very good job at training Bogi to sit! So, Bogi did remember how to show, like he did as a puppy. Bogi took 1st place in the Hunting Class at the National. That was a good moment. We love Bogi and he has a wonderful temperament and a boy that we will never forget.
